Now that the dust has cleared following the 2024 NFL Draft, teams throughout the NFL have been busy signing their draft selections in the last few days. Additionally, the Green Bay Packers announced on Friday night that they had signed defensive back Kalen King of Penn State and quarterback Michael Pratt of Tulane, the two players they selected in the seventh round. The announcement was released by the franchise in an official press release.

Compared to most pundits’ early projections, Pratt had dropped a bit in the draft. This is the terms of his contract. A $4.104 million four-year contract will be signed by him. It comes to $1.026 million on average.
Pratt had a career passing total of 9,286 yards while attending Tulane, with 87 touchdowns and 26 interceptions. Over his four seasons, he also gained 1,166 yards from rushing.

Pratt was a three-star recruit according to the On3 industry average after graduating from Florida’s Deerfield Beach High School. He was rated as the nation’s 74th-best quarterback. Additionally, he placed 158th overall in the state of Florida. He can now declare himself to be an NFL quarterback.

What experts project for Michael Pratt’s NFL Draft
Pratt was rated as the eighth-best quarterback available in the NFL Draft by ESPN expert Jordan Reid.

Regarding Pratt, NFL.com draft expert Lance Zierlein said the following:

Pratt is a well-respected team captain with a wealth of experience who consistently gets better every season. Pratt has thrown with touch on all three levels and has done a good job of choosing safety over risk. On intermediate throws, he has trouble throwing consistently with precision and placement. He also doesn’t seem to have the field awareness or anticipation necessary to outsmart NFL coverage all over the field. Pratt will have to fight to secure a backup position in the future, but he has Day 3 potential.

More about Kalen King’s tenure at Penn State
King accumulated three interceptions over the course of three seasons with the Nittany Lions, with the 2022 campaign being his best year. He was formerly regarded as a player with first-round potential, and he intends to play at that caliber in the NFL.
In addition, when playing Penn State, teams tended to stay away from King. His stats aren’t as flashy as those of some of the other defensive backs in his class, in part because of this.
